oil cooler?

I found a nice B&M one at jeg's for $109. Do they do anything? I'm automatic.

You can put the kit together with a larger cooler for less money by buying the individual parts from RacerPartsWholesale.

A cooler will keep engine temperatures from rising so high during lengthy (longer than a 1/4 mile run) beatings.

Not sure if you meant an engine oil cooler or an auto transmission oil cooler.

Holden has answered the engine oil cooler part.

As for a tranny oil cooler, JC Whitney sells some for less than $50. My last car had one and it helped the trans. a lot. I live in a tropical country and it's damn hot all year round.

I noticed when I first run my car, for 15 minutes, the trans. is ok. After that, the converter slipped more. When I gas it, the rpms go up, but the car doesn't accelerate. I figured I'd have to lower the trans fluid temp to keep it viscuous. Installing the cooler helped a lot.
